this weekend, me and my boo started pretty little liars. it’s her first time watching, but probably my fourth or fifth rewatch lol. i’m honestly loving every second of experiencing it with her.
rewatching it feels so nostalgic—the music, outfits, old phones, mysterious texts and the entire early-2010s atmosphere. it takes me right back to watching it for the first time and trying to figure out who “A” was.
the only thing i still don’t love is the ending. introducing spencer’s secret twin so late felt rushed and disconnected from everything we had watched for seven seasons. i honestly think aria being “A” would have made a much stronger reveal. there were so many suspicious little moments involving her, and finding out that one of the original liars had been behind everything would have been genuinely shocking.
i also could have accepted spencer herself being “A.” she was intelligent enough to stay ahead of everyone, knew nearly every secret and had the closest connection to the mystery. either choice would have felt more personal than bringing in a new twin at the very end.
anyways... i’m trying very hard not to spoil anything for my boo :x
